چکیده
Abstract This chapter reviews research on solutes by fluvial geomorphologists in the period 1965–2000; growing links with biogeochemical are emphasized later chapter. Brief reference is necessarily made to some from before and after study period. In relation solutes, early sought relate short-term process observations long-term landform evolution. However, very quickly, moved into much more applied fields, less concerned landforms processes. The drainage basin became focus of research, a wide range interest including nutrient loss agricultural forested landscapes dissolved organic carbon export peatlands. particular, terrestrial–aquatic ecotone for emphasizing distinctive processes operating riparian zone their contribution river-water protection land-derived pollutants. By end period, scale geomorphology had been greatly transformed what it 1965, providing broader field biogeochemistry, as well an ongoing Earth surface landforms.

Solute transport in eroded and rehabilitated prairie landforms. 2. Reactive solute.
The impact of varying soil, landscape, and climate conditions on the off-site transport of pesticides must be determined to develop improved pesticide management practices. This study quantified the rate of S-metolachlor dissipation after fall and spring application in eroded and rehabilitated landforms in which topsoil was moved from the lower slope to the upper slope. Fall-applied metolachlor...
متن کاملSolute transport in eroded and rehabilitated prairie landforms. 1. Nonreactive solute.
Information regarding solute and water transport as affected by soil properties, topography, and climatic conditions is required to improve and validate transport models. This study evaluated the dissipation of bromide applied to the soil surface in the fall and spring to undisturbed (eroded) and rehabilitated landforms, in which topsoil was moved from depositional areas to the eroded upper slo...

We examined the hemodynamic and tubular transport mechanisms by which platelet-activating factor (PAF) regulates salt and water excretion. In anesthetized, renally denervated male Wistar rats, with raised systemic blood pressure and renal arterial blood pressure maintained at normal levels, intrarenal PAF infusion at 2.5 ng. min(-1) x kg(-1) resulted in a small fall in systemic blood pressure (...
متن کاملDense CO2 as a Solute, Co-Solute or Co-Solvent in Particle Formation Processes: A Review
The application of dense gases in particle formation processes has attracted great attention due to documented advantages over conventional technologies. In particular, the use of dense CO₂ in the process has been subject of many works and explored in a variety of different techniques. This article presents a review of the current available techniques in use in particle formation processes, foc...
متن کاملThe Dalhousie Mound Spring Complex as a guide to Martian Landforms, Processes, and Exploration
Possible springs and their deposits are important targets for Martian exploration because of the information they contain about Martian landscapes and processes, provide indications for conditions in the Martian hydrosphere, are potential habitats for past (and present) Martian organisms, and their resource potential for human missions. The Dalhousie Mound Spring Complex (DMC) is one of largest...
